THE INVITATION

What magic might happen if you sat in the Tuscan countryside and wrote for five days?

Join screenwriter Nicole Asinugo and memoirist/essayist Regina Tingle in the spectacular hills of Val d'Orcia, Tuscany and find out. Come allow your pen, and spirit, to wander. 

We'll begin the day with a gentle breathing and meditation practice to awaken our bodies and our nudge our creative selves forward. Each day Nicole and Regina will lead you in a generative writing session followed by a chance to read your work and receive positive feedback. A meal prepared by a local chef will be our hard-earned reward for all our writing efforts. Afternoons will be dedicated to more writing, a swim in the pool or a jaunt into one of the nearby towns for a stroll or some shopping. On our final day we'll enjoy a day at a castle where we'll have a tour of the winery and a cooking class followed by lunch and a wine tasting.

ACCOMMODATION

We will be staying in a private villa which is part of a larger, family-owned estate. An hour and a half from Florence, and fifteen minutes from Montalcino (renowned for its rich Brunello wine) the villa is nestled amid some of the world's most inspiring landscapes. Surrounded by the family's olive groves and 600 hectares of vineyards, with a pool and several panoramic sitting areas, the grounds are perfect for plenty of peace and quiet...a great place to dance like nobody's watching.

The main villa is comprised of seven large bedrooms, two kitchens and three shared living spaces. There's a spacious porch where meals will be served as well as several outdoor sitting areas, perfect for sitting back with a drink and taking in the view of the surrounding area.

Nicole and Regina shared a special connection even before they met.

​

Once upon a time at the Florence Airport, we walked right by each other. In a quick glance, we knew -- 'that's her.' Insta-soul friend connection recognition. We turned around, laughed and hugged. Since then we've written together, traveled together and learned we have so many things in common -- we both even have sisters called by the same names.

Over the years we've cheered each other on, championing each other's work and lighting the way when times in life and writing get tough. And now, we're asking you to come to Italy with us. We'll soak up the view, sip, savor and relish in all that is Tuscany and writerly company.

We'll also get some mad good writing done.
