F L O R E N C E
“To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the most pleasant sensations in the world."
- Freya Stark
It's said over sixty percent of the world's most important artwork is located in Italy. Half of that is in Florence. No wonder the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! With so much to explore in so little time, of course you're not going to see it all in twenty-four hours (or even a month!) but but we can help give you a good start. Regina has been to Florence more times than she can count -- she's worked a plan for you so you don't have to drive yourself crazy wondering where to stay, what to eat, what to see and what to skip. We've got you covered.
4-Star Hotel Stay
Check into a four star hotel right in the city center where you can put up your feet after a long journey. You'll be within a short walk to all the city's shops and major monuments: Piazza della Signoria, Santa Croce, Piazza della Repubblica, the Arno and all the fab markets.
No need to worry about tourist traps or bad meals. Rest assured you'll get a scrumptious taste of Florence's best food and wine... all within easy walking distance of your hotel. And we'll make sure you know about where to go for a pre-dinner aperitivo as well as a nightcap. You'll go where the locals go.
Guided Walking Tour
We won't visit the Accademia or the Uffizi museums but we will take you on a guided walking tour of the city center so you can get your bearings... and take note of all the shopping you can do afterwards. Word from the wise: pack light. You'll want to fill your suitcase with all things Florence! (And Siena, and Pienza...)
