Join Texan rabble-rouser Jesse Coulter for five, gobsmackingly glorious days exploring the islands of the Amalfi Coast. With Sorrento as our base, we'll explore pastel-hued Procida, its neighboring thermal island of Ischia and, of course, glamorous Capri. This trip is Not. To. Miss.
Spend five spectacular days perched on the 'peninsula Sorrentina' in the stunning cliff-town of Sorrento. A perfect base for sightseeing, the town has plenty to offer: restaurants, nightlife and endless views. The town's festive atmosphere is authentic and local despite its world-renowned fame. During the week we'll make use of the excellent ferry services that connect Sorrento to all the dreamy nearby hotspots.
We have two beautiful hotel options located in Sorrento. Hotel Capri, located in the heart of town is within walking distance of the harbour and all the shops, restaurants and local wonders. Hotel Belair is a bit further up the hill but all rooms have sweeping sea views.
From £3100
The Hotel Capri is an elegant 4-star hotel in the heart of Sorrento. The sophisticated, undeniably Mediterranean style of the interiors creates an atmosphere at once intimate and refined, while the pool and garden allow the delightful whiling away of hours amid beauty and nature. Perfect for those choosing Sorrento as a starting point for discovering the region’s wonders.
From £4300
Hotel Belair is a gorgeous five-star luxury hotel situated atop Sorrento's glorious cliffs. The hotel has a beautiful pool, a rooftop terrace perfect for sipping a cocktail and admiring the Bay of Naples, and all rooms have a sweeping sea view. While the hotel is a bit further, it is still within comfortable walking distance of central Sorrento.
Glamorous islands, our own private boat tour of where "The Talented Mr Ripley" was filmed; an outdoor cooking class in a citrus grove, views galore, delectable meals, incredible wine and, of course, all the laughter and camaraderie your heart can stand.
We'll make use of the fantastic ferries that run from Sorrento to Capri. Once on Capri you'll have free time to roam the island's many paths leading to incredible vistas, shop the designer shops or sit in the main piazza and people watch where it's not unlikely you'll spot some celebs. Capri also has private boat tours -- you can visit the famous 'faraglioni' rocks or see the blue grotto. The island also has a few beaches if you feel like taking a dip in its blue, cool waters.
We'll hop on a ferry from Sorrento and head to the incredibly island of Procida, with its charming shops and painstakingly beautiful panoramas. No wonder it's been the site for films like "Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Il Postino." We'll tour the island in micro-taxis and have lunch in car-free, pastel-colored Marina Corricella.
What trip to Italy would be complete without a cooking class?
This cooking class is outdoors, of course, and where else but under the lemon groves? We'll learn to make local specialties like 'gnocchi alla Sorrentina', sip bubbles while we're at it and eat what we've cooked on a terrace overlooking the gobsmackingly gorgeous view of the Mediterranean.
People have been going to the thermal island of Ischia since ancient times to enjoy its healing properties, mineral clay mud and incredible, lush beauty. We'll spend a day here -- you can relax, eat, swim or head to a spa!
"Losing my father suddenly six years ago has given me even more drive to live for today because tomorrow is not promised. I often quote George Strait, 'I ain’t here for a long time, I’m here for a good time.'
Whether you are a busy mom, widow, retired, divorced or simply need a break…you deserve a relaxing and inspiring vacation not a trip! We’ve taken all the planning and thinking out of this trip, just get yourself to Italy. I can’t wait for you to take this adventure with me…to eat, drink, and explore the most beautiful towns on the Italian Coast!"
